When I began to write this lesson I soon realized that it would be SO much easier if I just made up a slideshow for you.

So I did…before you jump right in, here are a few things that will help you get the most out of this lesson.

1 – How to Complete this Lesson

You can work through this lesson in a couple of ways : – either you can watch the entire slideshow first & then go back & work along with it or – you can jump right in & just press PAUSE until you’ve completed a step.

You can re-watch the slideshow as often as you’d like. .

2 – Materials & Tools Gather these materials & tools together before you begin.

light cotton jersey (the natural colour) OR the cotton tubular gauze
heavy thread
fleece or batting
roving
pins
sewing needle
blunt needle or bodkin
measuring tape
scissors (fabric & small sharp)
pencil or tailors chalk

3 . Tips & Tricks

Try to work in daylight or bright light, it does make a difference!
Keep your work area as uncluttered as possible. If you aren’t using it, set it aside.
Keep all liquids, markers, pens & kids with jammy fingers away (if possible) from your work area. You want your doll to look NEW when you finish it!
If you don’t understand something – stop & try to actually DO it – your hands often know how to do things your mind thinks it doesn’t!
