Lesson 6
Overview
In this lesson, you’ll learn a couple of new techniques & start to finesse your knitting skills.
These animals are quick to make & are essential to any great playscape!
Try making several of each in different colours – your options are endless.
The PIG is the simplest – it features the fewest pieces & the easiest stitches.
The SHEEP is a bit more involved – her removable coat is lots of fun.
Try making a fantasy coat in an unusual colour.
The PEACOCK takes your knitting to a new level with multi-coloured stripes, a bit of embroidery & some simple shaping.
The DOG is the most challenging piece by far.
He is shaped while knitting as well as during construction.

The SHEEP
The Sheep is so fun to knit & even more fun to “dress”! Make her a few outfits – one for every barnyard occasion!
When you are constructing her, take a moment to look at some images of sheep so that you can get
the ears & eyes in the right positions. An animal’s expression really makes a difference to little ones.

The PEACOCK
This peacock will be a delightful additional to your fairyland or even your (slightly) unusual barnyard!
Try him out in these more traditional colours or make a stunning all-white version. It is MUCH easier to make than it looks… you may end up with a “muster” of peacocks.
