Lesson 4 – Collection
Welcome, [wlm_firstname]!
.
.Here’s Lesson # 4 – Collection –
.
This lesson covers the 2 types of collecting you must do in order to plan & teach your lessons effectively. When you know how to mindfully gather, curate & store these, you can help your child learn more easily & enjoyably. Which means you will find your homeschool running more smoothly & with less effort on your part (isn’t that what we’re all looking for ?)
We’ll consider Tangible things (your Handwork Stash) & Intangible things (how to use your Energy Pathways manage time, information, experiences & more). This is an unusual way to view homeschooling but it will change how you look at your day-to-day environment & perhaps, open you up to the realization of just how incredibly IMPORTANT your homeschool work is – for your child AND for you!
Especially if you’ve lost sight of this amidst the hustle of your day-to-day….
As a parent of an Extraordinary child, you know you can’t approach their education in a bland, lack-lustre way, it has to be exciting, engaging & deeply personal before they can even start truly learning. You also know that all of this takes time & effort to do well.
In this lesson, I’m going to give you some skills & tools to help you weave your energy in & around your child’s abilities & some simple handwork resources – together they are the next step on the path to great Hands-ON lessons.
Remember to print the worksheets & put them in your Handwork Sourcebook.

The Intangibles part of this lesson is definitely a topic which is rarely (if ever) discussed in homeschooling circles. After years of observing & teaching my children, I developed this way of working with your energy (& your child’s) to help them learn more quickly & calmly. When you step back from the material/visible aspects of what you’re doing with them & look at the energetics of your homeschool, you will be able to decide what you should do in any given situation. It takes practice but it works!
I mention in the welcome video that there is a Blackboard for the course. The lessons will be included on the main guild Blackboard rather than a separate place. Also, I have decided to call my unique teaching/learning method, Tapestry Teaching. This is the core of what I teach in the The Making Lessons… so if I refer to Tapestry Teaching in the future, you’ll know what I’m talking about.
If you have questions or would like to share your AHA moments – please leave a comment below. I’ll answer you there.
Looking forward to our conversation !
